Cubieland is a story projector designed for kids and an excellent toy to foster a knitted relationship with their parents before bedtime.

The project aims to attract kids and parents to a an imaginative world filled with adventures, beautiful memories and wholesomeness.

My responsibilities

Led by the incredible duo from STUDIO DAM, I assisted developing the world of Cubieland. Illustration, brand identity system, packaging, website design as well as a set of brand templates for social media. I was also part of the branding strategy, positioning, and tone of voice with the brand strategists.

  • Our client needed a logo and visual branding to their new product, that they had worked on tirelessly during Covid. Focused on online sales, the packaging has to be durable for any possibilities of damage during shipping and handling. The product has so much potential and we needed to showcase that on the website as well as on the app.

  • Though our client’s team is based in Taiwan, the creative process went smoothly as we had a strong communication and understanding towards one another.

    Once the logo and Art Direction was set, we illustrated supporting graphics to build the Cubieland's imaginative world. Circles intersected to bring the sense of worlds colliding together and effervescent of growth.

    In addition to the immersive experience, customers are able to access the various stories offered via apps we have curated for the four story themes: Han's Christian Andersen, Brothers Grimm, International Classics, and Bible stories. They are currently available on Apple store and Android.

    As online presence is essential for their sales, we created Cubieland's website for potential customers to learn and understand the product and easy checkout process. We've also created various instagram templates for them to utilised for their online interactions.

    Photography is vital when it comes to online sales. We provided their production team a moodboard Art Direction to follow through to ensure brand consistency.
